--well wtfffffff? had a message from seller of the comet that he is NOT GOING TO POST MODEL!!! he said when he listed it, there should have been a reserve on it. but there was none in the listing!! and he is NOT sending it out for that price. i rang ebay and they said there is not lot they can do if he will not post it. they could probably ban him, but still won't get the model!! so hope he refunds my money, or will have to open up a dispute. bummer!!!

That sucks! This happened to me once, and i got refunded, just a shame i didn't get what i wanted (a DSLR). You could try and ask him how much he is willing to let it go for (what was his intended reserve??), try and bargain. He obviously wants to sell it, but not give it away! Seems like a valuable model, and quite rare, so i'd try and talk to him.

--well, i got a refund today!!! beside the point as i really wanted the model. don't know what his reserve was, but he say he had it 'valued' @ £650!!!! wtf? yes its a rare model, but you can get 1/72 one brand new from westway for HALF that price!! and i dare say slightly cheaper elsewhere!! i will put in a complaint to ebay, and leave him negative feedback!! but ebay said they cannot MAKE him send it to you.ROBERTComment

Been a bit quiet as I recuperate at home basically. just take each day as it comes and am feeling pretty bloody good to be honest.
Weight is going back on I think, next weigh in will be on 16th oct when I go to Dr for a blood test and then back a week later for the resuls of test!
Today is 3 weeks officially without a ciggy or a beer. Talk about Cold Turkey!!! Last smoke was on 10th sept, day of admission, and none since then so I am stoked really after having been a smoker for many years and a heavy 4o ish a day choofer in recent months. Got more patches from chemist ( with dole and Dr prescription works out at 5.80 for a month 28 patches = 4 weeks supply ) if i was average joe off the street just 7 days supply= 23$
average price of one packet of 40 Ciggies!! still cheaper than 150 plus a week many heavy smokers would pay per week. Eating well and diet ranges from eggs or porridge in am, toast and apricot jam, lunch is soup, or a frozen dinner, or qrtr chicken or piece of fish, or steak. Tea time could be a tinned meal, or chops or spring rolls, rice or whatever followed by ice cream or jelly. Freezer is half full of veg and all good stuff, and fries, and Pommes and other good tucker. Love to know what I weigh atm, feel heavier thats for sure. Lolly jubes and chocolates replace the ciggys so as i get my head around the I don't smoke syndrome ( yes I check my pockets for my lighter and smokes compulsively) before I go anywhere and so on, a habit, like checking you got your wallet etc
Am i having cravings, well yess occasionally, moreso habitual like after a coffee, a meal and getting in car amongst other things
Beer hasnt bothered me as yet to my suprise. thought jitters may come into play but so far so good
This w.end is our world famous Bathurst Touring car race. I have watched many over the years so this one is the events 50th anniversary so a very special race meet indeed.
Perhaps some beers may flow on sunday, in past years would be beer after beer after beer in typical aussie tradition, well a subdued version is planned this year
See how the beer / ciggy thing pans out???? will be the acid test for me, can I have a beer w/out a ciggy in the other hand???
See what happens. If i do sneak 1 0r 2 ciggs I wont be ashamed, just start over again, think i will be ok w/out a smoke

Steve this is good news on your progress. I know it is not quite the same but when I was diagnosed as diabetic . I stopped drinking coke cold turkey I would have approx 6 cans a day. Only miss it now and then with certain meals(pizza or Chinese Food). So yes it can be done.Comment

--G'day all, sorry for not posting much lately been up bush at shows or what we call field days.
Not a great responce sadly crops are drying off way to quick again and farmers are not spending. Makes my job tough I tell you! Some light at the tunnel though is we released one of our new Self Propelled sprayers to the public and were demonstrating it to farmers. And being the big bloddy thing it is the media were all over it! So here is a picture of yours truely in one of two country news papers and now two interview for WIN television.
