  • Nice to see more activity here on MAC. This weeks starts me new old role at work. A year ago September i had stepped down from my management position. Starting this week I move back into my former management position. It means I am back up to 45 hours a week but still an hourly position so if I need to work extra get paid for it.

Hi Andy. Fans have had one of two reactions here:

        1. Fed up, p.o.'ed and not planning to watch it anymore.

        2. Yippee, can't wait to watch!

There's no in-between or undecided with most people. They're either totally ticked off or super excited!

            • Today was my yearly eye check up. Everything looks fine , no sign of diabeties in my eyes. All the scans show a very normal profile. So I am good for another year.

                • So, had it confirmed that i'm off to Philadelphia on the 28th until the 1st. First time for me flying out of Heathrow, also first time for me Flying Business. When it turns 00:01 GMT for my birthday on the 2nd I'll be just off the east coast of the USA on a BA 777, but I've got to make sure I get back to Manchester (via BA Shuttle)so I can make the Everton game that I've already booked tickets for as KO 15:00.If they show someone asleep on Match of the Day then its me.....

                      approx saving 27oo
im happy as, never thought id kick the habbit but i have which is great, I cant undo the damage done by years of smoking but hopefully gain a few extra years along the way

                      • Andy sounds like you are in for an interesting time ahead. Will watch for the sleeping person in the crowd if I get the game here on tv.

Steve kudos to you for your achievement. I can imagine it takes a lot of will power it is amazing what you can do when faced with a medical situation. When I was diagnosed as being diabetic I was a heavy pop drinker , have only the occasional gingerale. I used to be a 3-4 cans of coca cola a day. Have not had a can of coca cola in over three years. I don't even miss it. So Steve hats off to you.

Jason I am sure you will have a good check up. Maybe we need a medical section on MAC to discuss our health issues.

                        • The past 2 days we have had spring like weather temperatures around 13-14 degrees. It must have had some affect on people car accidents all over the place. As I was leaving the sub post office saw a police cruiser lights going heading up the street. A couple of minutes later a vulture(tow truck) heading the same way at a high speed. Figured must have been an accident. Then couple of minutes behind the vulture aeriel 111(our local fire hall). So he would have been responding to the accident. Went to the place where I buy my boxes for shipping pumper 114 leaving an industrial fire. Then it was off to the airport to deliver a model. I took the perimeter road around the airport and was passed by Red 9 Command Fire. Just up the road at the intersection to head to the terminals 3 airport fire trucks , at least 2 ambulances could not really see how many cars involved. After delivering the model and leaving the airport area Orange(air ambulance) was landing by the North Airport Firehall. I could see at the gate by the firehall and ambulance waiting. So right now I am assuming they were transporting someone from the crash at the south end of the airport.
