  • Yes F1 season again, Melbourne race soon I imagine??, miss F1 action in ADL, but one day it may return??? Touring car races replaced it on a reduced track length, but still miss the noise of F1's.

    • The Melbourne GP is only 2-3 weeks away. The noise is seriously amazing! I drove past last year, while they were qualifying, and it was sensational.
<DIV>We will not have the Grand Prix for much longer. It is running at a loss, costing tax payers an arm and a leg, plus majority of Melbournians are just sick of it now. The honeymoon ended many years ago. Ohh and there are the tree hugers who protest every single year. </DIV>

Right setting, everything close by, great entertainment after, just 4 days of bliss really. Clipsal took over but id love F! back here, and maybe a double header, V8 morn race, then F1 afternoon race!!!!!!!!
Now that would be awesome, talk is a night race with clipsal, perhaps F1 in arvo, V8 at night!!!

        • To be honest, i dont know why it left Adelaide in the first place. Sydney want to make a bid for it, and turn the streets into a circuit. It just wont work.
<DIV>Last Grand Prix i went too, was 2005!!! I was taking a few photos, when crunch the Team Kiwi Holden came smashing into the barrier right infront of me. I sh*t myself lol, but managed to get myself on TV. </DIV>

              • Going to struggle to watch most of the F1 this year, Sky got most of the rights for tele viewing, so only about 8 or 9 races on BBC.

I wonder if the 4 cars thay got badly damaged yesterday will be fixed in time for qualifying this morning??? Then the main race of another 250 kms this arvo????
Hope everyones having a great day or night.

                              • Hey Dr John hehe, mate hope your partner gets better soon.

My day was good up until my 1hour only planned spotting at AKL turned into 5 hours @ AKL and costing me $180.00

Had my godson over for the weekend and he forgot to turn the DVD screen of in the car, me unaware just at the airport with the radio on and unknowingly the screens also on draining the car battery.

End result - Call out to AA who were very busy and 3hrs later finally made it only to check the batter and it was completely dead and beyond saving... $180.00 later with a brand new battery, we were on our way back home.... but me been me turned a negative into a positive and made of the most of it... took some great pics of planes I have never seen before... blessing in disguise I say but not the $180.00 haha.
