Just had a bogus call from Microsoft, your computer is sending viruses etc and when i quized him, gess what, hangs up before i do, hate that when they beat you hanging up first.

They are pretty convincing so be aware guys, dont fall into the trap. do not reveal any info and just hang up on them.

thats 3 or 4 times now that they have tried it on, and failed miserably.
Tax office ones are a gem, Mr K , aust tax office owes you $3716, ,,,,,,,,,,,,, as if ATO are gonna tell you they owe you money, the reverse i can believe!!!!!!!!!
its almost hilarious the scams they pull, and how many people they con along the way with the b/s stories they come out with!!!!

They cannot fool the legend. It is amazing what they will try. There was a close friend of my parents who got a spam e=mail about how they had won a lottery for x amount of dollars. They replied back with bank info for the deposit. Yes you guessed it bank account wiped out. If i knew my ex's bank account I would reply to one of those threads with her account. Aren't I bad[img]smileys/smiley36.gif[/img]

<div></div><div>we get them in u.k too steve!! also had 2 or 3 calls from microsoft!! but my brother is an it guy, so he sorts out out any problems. also had tax office etc like you saying you have a refund. but banks are the worst. must have had every single bank in u.k ten times over by now!! but only bank with one of them. so you know they are fake. they are also targetting paypal now!!! but pp address you NAME and not dear member!! but as you say, the lengths they go to!. but sadly, lots of people fall for it!!</div>

Howdy all. My UK mate is back in Adelaide for the 5th time, doing training seminars etc for managers of businesses. I think he is here for 10-11 days? so will deffo be catching up for a meal and a few drinks very soon.
Weird how ya dont see someone for 29 years, then since early Feb last year, he has been here 5 times so far, and another trip planned for august this year!!!!!!
Hopefully one ofthe next trips will include his wife and 7 year old daughter, and his very grown up kids from 1st marriage.
None of whom have ever been to Australia before.
So a fun night out is planned very shortly. Looking forward to it!!!

Haha, well now I'm sorta getting into fly fishing. And yes John, I hate those crabs, especially when surf fishing, the pesky sand crabs.

I have an unused Shimano fly fishing reel!! Never bloody used, has only seen the showroom floor, and my storage!!
