<DIV>To tell you the truth, i am getting sick of posting photos with little response! Here i understand, because we have lower numbers of members etc. But over on 400sh! My photo gets 25 views in a day, but only 2 comments! That really deflates me! </DIV>
<DIV>I speak for myself now, I do not post my photos to show off or make people jealous! I post to help people make up their minds with their purchases!I post photos to start convo on the model! I post photos, for people who unfortunatley cant purchase the model, but want tohave a better look at it for future reference! Takes time to take these photos, then crop and tryfix them, especially if you are a sh*t photographer like me! lol So 2 comments, is just a killer in my eyes!</DIV>

      • John I like to post photos of the different airlines and aircraft that fly to YYZ that others may not see at their airport. I try to keep the boring usual like Air Canada (unless a special livery). I enjoy airline shots from other countries that I don't see here. As for the models I just want people to see what the model actually looks like once it is releases. So pretty much the same reasoning as you John. Yes it can be discouraging with lack of responses but if viewed it may have helped one person.

        • I hear what you are saying John, and believe me its not just you, its everyone that posts, wether it be on 400, here or anywhere. Imagine the time Sal spends preparing his photos, especially the space program shots which took him hours to clean, scan, adjust and finally post, only to have a few dozen or so views and fewer comments.
Yes and his girlie shots suffer the same fate too unfort, , just seems nobody has anything to say, not that the shots are good, bad or inbetween, just probably enjoy what they see and move along to the next shot
Don't be disheartened by no comments, just continue on regardless, as many appreciate what they see, they simply don't comment on them for some reason????

            • John I just did a comparison of my YYZ Airside Tour post. Which I posted on both MAC and 400 SH. Here is the comparison.

              400 SH 8 replies on 154 views
MAC 8 replies on 40 views

I know this is just one post but it appears to me that we have a better posts to view ratio. Also consider the number of views compared to the membership numbers. So in my opinion we have by far a better forum involvement by members. I think we should all reflect on how successful MAC actually is. Yes we may be small but look at the atmosphere here and the quality of the posts. Members stay on topic and there is very little for moderators and admin people to monitor. I think a big hand should go to Andy for starting MAC and his choices of moderators and admin people but most of ALL to ALL MAC MEMBERS.

              • Interesting stats Mark, on your sample, 4 x the activity than that of 400sh.

Overall I think considering the "newness" of MAC against long established forums, we hold respectable nunbers to posts ratio.

                  • I think if we divide the number of posts vs number of members, the results may be quite a suprise actually.

                    • I can also relate with you John regarding model photos, its time consuming and i always try and do the best i can because i am trying to best reflect the attributes of the model, and when people don't reply it can be a little disheartening because we are contributing to the rich diversity of a forum. I have to say everyone here is really good in posting, that keeps the excitement of the place going.

I was wondering if there is the possibility of creating a photo library within MAC, so people can create albums and upload pictures so that it's readily accessible for people to access. I'd like to create an album for the airshows i've been, my collection and any other stuff that is interesting... just an idea!

                        • Howdy all, for those interested Ive created a new thread specialising in Agricultural and farm equipment, so please feel free to add photos of the real things or models of them. Will be interesting to see whats used and where.
For us NON FARM people a brief explanation of each photo would be nice [if possible]
Everyones welcome to add to the thread, so here goes!!!

<div></div><div>ATM there is a 10Mg limit on up-loading photos and it doesn't take long to fill that memory up, but Andy can increase this. However I don't know if there are any increased costs to do so. Perhaps Mark might know.</div>
