  • Just to add to the hobby I also think the buying trends are different. Once again it also hinges very much on what the manufacturers release. I don't mind sharing this info. For my business this is how the scales trended:

1:500 represented 16.6% of my sales down 0.8% to the previous year
1:400 represented 47.1% of my sales down 4.3% to the previous year
1:200 represented 36.5% of my sales up 4.7% to the previous year
car/trucks represented 0.3% of my sales up 0.3% to previous year

Over the past 2 years I have seen 1:500 remain almost an even percent. Hiowever 1:400 sales have been on the decline and 1:200 have been increasing

    • Interesting Mark, I think theres definitly variation by region as well, certainly if you can pay GJ/JC/AV200 prices rather than inflight prices for 1/200 they're going to have an increase in sales, theres certainly still strength in 1/400 but I think 1/200 has seen growth definitly.

      • Andy you are correct with region will definitely have a major bearing on sales. For me I know any Canadian Airline will sell very well for my Canadian clients. For my British customers more BA and Virgin Atlantic and for the Aussie's any Aussie basd airline goes there. The USA market is very hit and miss. Since the majority of my client base is Canada , UK and Australia I do order more of those based airlines.

          • Hi all guys n gals!!! Great to see the editing feature is a goer, and hopefully some new and return members will be joining us here shortly.

As the forum grows, I am sure more competitions, and other activities will be encouraged once the forum gains more momentum. As its very early days here, I think it very very wise to keep things fairly basic here, as discussed with others, having countries flags, and airline logos etc, as nice as they are to have, can wait until we are all familiar with the way this forum works, Im sure in time some extra features will be added!!
One step at a time is probably going to summarise where the forums at, so please be patient and understand that Andy, Mark and John are too learning the forum and the intricasy's of the admin side of it. So hold off unless urgent, any special requests, and let the admin team sort out the daily running of the forum.

Please keep the donations coming in folk,
Andy has had to pay a lot of money UP FRONT from his own pocket to get this forum up and running. Please assist by donating to the running costs of this forum.
            THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
