Hi All,
<DIV>Series 1 to 13 of Air Crash Investigators is available in a boxed DVD set. Got mine in Aus from the ABC Shop. Ideal for when its 40deg outside</DIV>
many thanks for your condolences guys and girls! about 2 weeks before xmas, he had to have op on his hernia. had to do it under local anaesthetic, as being 81 and after 3 years of kidney dialyisis, was considered too weak for general. they sent him home 2 days later at 5pm!! he had to go BACK next morning for diaylisis!! wtf? anyway, the hernia ruptured. so they had no choice but to do a general to do it properly. he came round ok,and they kept him in so it could heal properly. on xmas day thery let him out on day release. however on friday after xmas he got an infection, probably because the forgot to put a drain in when they did the main op!!so had to operate again. after he appeared to get better on the sunday, he started to go downhill on monday. and finally died tuesday night. but we think the 2 op finally did him, it was too much for his body to take. 2 big ops inside 10 days. the funeral has been pencilled in for tues. 15th.
DaC owner/moderator condones racial slur if its used as an adjective to inanimate object.
Exact word from n1786b "Well, used as an adjective for a model is a little bit different that using it as an insult or slur."
Therefore, over at DaC, you can say jap planes, ch*nk toy, n-word fried chicken, or other offensive terms used as adjective is allowed.
I am done with DaC.
----------------------
And for those who is ignorant to use the word jap:
Web difinitions</font>
jap (offensive slang)
offensive term for a person of Japanese descent. wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
</font>-----------------------
I have seen it used over at SAF and that's when I stopped participating there.
<div></div><div>Hey Taki, Sorry to hear about that.</div><div></div><div>If you ever see something like that used here let me know. I won't stand fot it and it's not acceptable. Another example from the UK would be the shortening of Pakistani, I'm not sure if it has the same connortation elsewhere in the globe but its not appropriate language in public so it isn't on forums either.</div>
Well after 113 days there is a tentative deal between the NHL and the NHLPA. Now just a matter of seeing when the shortened season will start. The big issue is how they will fix the damage this lock out has caused.

Andy totally agree that will not be tolerated here on MAC. Behind you 100%.

<div></div><div>At least they've finally got something together, hopefully the viewing figures and support won't have been damaged too much</div>
