--Hi Mike, Glad to see i'm not the only one that's happy 2011 has finished, roll on 2012 "Live for today" stuff the Banks.Originally posted by Jolly-RogerHi All. Just been reading my way through all the posts to catch up on things.
<div></div>
<div>Steve , have you ever posted a pic of your 92 Falcon? Love to see it. Cooling issues generally not a problem in the UK. Can't remember the last time the fan switched itself on, and diesels run a lot cooler than petrol so it takes at least 20 miles before the temp guage reaches normal.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Alex, how often does it rain fish in Aus? See you had 3 in your garden the other day.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Hi John, Does Aus have a summer football season?</div>
<div></div>
<div>At last things have returned to normal after Christmas. Deckies (8 boxes of them)have been returned to the loft.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Father returned home after a weeks stay, got bored as we don't have Sky Sports to watch. </div>
<div></div>
<div>Men with ladders have been round to fix hole in roof after the storm we had. (fortunately got insurance cover)</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>BMW dealer screwed up with the 1 Series that Easyboy was buying. (Long story)</div>
<div></div>
<div>Close friend suffered a stroke and seems not to have to much time left to live so have been visiting him. He has trusted me with being his executor so not looking forward to that when the time comes.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Gave No1 son an electric drill for Christmas, now I have to go round to his place to show him how to use it. </div>
<div></div>
<div>No 2 son moving into his first house at the end of the month so looking forward to his decorating requirements. </div>
<div></div>
<div>Had a bust up with the bank who after 35 years of loyal patronage refused to improve the interest they pay on my A/C (give all the best rates to new customers and ignore the old faithfuls). </div>
<div></div>
<div>Still waiting for a replacement door which split and let the rain in. ( Said they'd do it in Nov last year)</div>
<div></div>
<div>The cats done a bunk and the goldfish has just died.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Life: don't talk to me about life.</div>

--Hey Steve, how about....Originally posted by steve kThinking about a thread on the sale of my back yard block, what goes on from decision to sell, real estate agent, advertising, sale of block, legalities involving the creating of the sub division, council involvement, financing and clearing of the block, shifting of sewer pipe, removal of trees and sheds, clearing of the block back to soil again, and subsequent land filling, foundations and construction through to completion!
So what shall I call the the thread??? any ideas folk?????

--Still undecided what to call the thread at this stage, it needs something that covers beginning to end, obviously the actual building of the Townhouse will be the most interesting part of all, but the preparation work to enable the work to commence-in my case a sub division of half a property, becomes an even more complicated issue rather than that of a young couple about to build there first home on a vacant cleared block they have bought. Minor things they have to do, straight forward stuff really, my situation is much more complex, trust me!!! Would have been a lot easier and quicker to have walked away with a sale of the whole block, but I want to keep the location, and in future, I wont have to buy the land as I already have it, a saving of over 300 plus KCollector of aircraft, truck, car and earthmover models
