          • Hahaha, yeah i should have Jase. I would be in the good books.
            <DIV></DIV>
<DIV>The storm didnt actually make me move. I was in the process of moving, when the storm hit and damgaged tiles, shutters and collapsing one of the ceilings due to water. </DIV>
<DIV>We basically had christmas day chaos! We had approx 4 massive storms, with heavy rain, huge hail stones and wind etc. Cars were damaged etc. </DIV>
<DIV>Now the move has been delayed due to damage. The assessor needs to check the damage. </DIV>

Mate I work in insurance and the best advice... get quotes from 2-3 builders before the assessor even walks through the door... there the ones that pretty much say how much your entitled to "money wise" towards the cost of repairs. Dont exactly know how the insurance side works where you are but thats what I tell everyone.

              • Thanks for that advice Jase. I have had a mate look at it, who is master builder. He said over $6,000 damage. But that is just his word, no quote. It is so hard getting a tradie this time of the year, because they are all on bloody holidays!

Thats a lot of damage caused mate. Get him to write it up... wouldn't be surprised if it doubled. If the assessor say its only cost 4k to fix... DISPUTE IT mate.

Ever since the CHCH earthquake we have had so many issues with the EQC (Goverment insurance) you see the government are required contribute 100k to each household in NZ that suffers loss thru a natural disaster/event then the rest is topped up the insurance companies... thing is the EQC have the dodgiest assessors claiming it will only cost 80k to fix 160k (viewed by our assessor) worth of damage. Big eye opener.. you have the client disputing with EQC and the insurance companies also disputing with the EQC as well... the only people that loose out in the end is the client.

                      • Looking forward to seeing and hearing what others say about the moulds, Im sure each mould has its strenghths and its weaknesses, hard part is to pick the one that replicates accurately as possible, the overall appearance of an aircraft!!! Shall be an interesting comparism I would think!!!

                          • When it comes to the A330 mould, i have never really had an issue with any.. I still have not purchased an aerocurrent A330, and dont intend on, unless it is a livery which has not been produced yet, like Air Australia, Strategic or White Jetstar.

                            • John I was most suprised when I read about the extent of the hail damage, I imagine your new place was one of many that copped a belting?, And the question I ask, who is responsible for repairs, You havent moved in/occupied the new place, so I wonder to whom gets the repair bill, and is responsible? for said repairs? Do you have the keys? Does that mean the place is yours? Technically, what is the stand point is what im getting at? Is it the builders etc responsibility??? Another point, if it failed a bit during this recent storm, Id be wondering about future storm damage too, perhaps this one was a real bad one, way beyond comprehension, just worries me some what!!!
My old joints been hailed, blown, rained and cooked, and still going strong, touch wood!!!
Hope they get it all fixed up soon mate so you can move in, luckily you didnt have furnishings and carpets?? to get damaged also.

I also like a fine smear of hot english or dijon mustard on ham or beef, even on roast pork or roast beef its awesome stuff!!!
cant go wrong with snacks like that i tell ya!!!
