--Hey there you are mate sent you a PM in 400 only an hour ago.Originally posted by Ansettman08Wow 12 pages of discussion, feels like SAF all over again! Anyway, how has everyone been? Got a massive update to do on both here and 400SH, got a load of planes to show you all! I've lost count of them, a nice mix of Ansetts AND a few other Aussie and Multi-national special livery aircraft, and some nice freighters from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and a Sunrise 747-8 (Dragon Wings, PHX version is nice, but too pricey, and they have the ground and flight config, can't risk the seller getting confused... i hate the flexed wings on the models.) so yeah, hopefully everyone is hanging for the massive gallery of pics that I will have to upload... once all the models are here and i'm uncapped on the net of course!
Good to hear your doing well and got a lot models on the way. Im the same with you, hate the flexed wings on my 1:200 747-8 models. Wish they with an extra set of NON flexed wings so one has a choice as to how they want the model displayed.

Yeah the Flexed wings look cool on the real things, but on models, especially when you're displaying them on the ground, look super ugly, and with PHX's infamous paint glitches, I really didn't want to gamble especially being a big fan of the 747-8! How is the eBay purchasing going? You can get some good deals on there... hard to come by, but you find some good models on there too.</div>Check Out My Collection @ DAC! - Aaron.

Andy is the owner of MAC, with his admin team of Mark (aviation delight) and John (Alitalia 747)
At this stage nobody has heard from Tony, who started a magnificent forum, unfortunately problems with viruses amd hacker spoiled SAF, And some personal problems Tony experienced, saw the unexpected demise of SAF, fortunately Andy has picked up the pieces where SAF finished, created a great new forum and thats why we are all coming back and enjoying this brand new forum!!!

well, i ACTUALLY like the flexed wings on 748s! and 787s, as they are one of the main features of the craft. they also make the model 'stand out' from the rest. got model below direct from boeing store last year, and will get orange too. <div></div><div>

--Hi all, Woke up early this morn to a fantastic looking day ahead, clear blue skys and a top around 28c, with the temps climbing over next few days, Tues top of 37c!!! back into summer mode again after a week of low~~mid 20's temps!!
I found a CORGI "CHUBB" model of a 6 wheeler airport fire truck, scale I guess is 1/100-1/120, its a fair bit smaller than 1/87, so me thinks a bit of detailing may be in order to "REAL IT UP" a bit!!!
Lets see what a difference I can make to it???
Good to see the membership growing, from1 to 33? so far, a long, long way to go yet, but its certainly looking great so far. Lets hope the trend continues. I need to contact a few people here to get them active on MAC again, a passive reminder is whats needed I thnk!!!
Hope averyones going great out there, and I am looking forward to getting my PC fixed, and then getting photos of my latest 1/87 scale trucks etc, and the new B Double semi trailer which better bloody arrive this coming week!!!!
Then I start the next project, an Aussie road train, both will look great once set up properly and displayed, watch the Truck and earthmover thread in coming weeks!!

--Its not that I dont like flexed wings as they are cool but what I dont like is for a model it doesnt look right having flexed wings on landed/grounded display however look great in flying display whilst on a stand. --Ah okay, I will have to get used to some of the changes of Usernames here! The flexed wings would look great if you're into putting your models on a stand, I like to display them on the ground, plus, aren't the 787's wings flexed pretty high anyway when on the ground in comparison to when it's in the air?Check Out My Collection @ DAC! - Aaron.
